Why are the Republicans So Obessed with Benghazi?

I know that I wrote a blog yesterday, however this needs to be written about and I have to give my opinion. Why are the Republicans obsessed with what happened in Benghazi? If you've been living under a rock for the last six months I will explain quickly what happened at the American diplomatic mission Benghazi, Libya. On September 11th 2012 Islamic militants attacked the American diplomatic mission at Benghazi, Libya and killed four people in that attack and U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens was one of the four people killed in the attack.

Then on September 16th Susan Rice who is the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations went on the five major Sunday talk shows and said that

"Based on the best information we have to date, what our assessment is as of the present is in fact what began spontaneously in Benghazi as a reaction to what had transpired some hours earlier in Cairo where, of course, as you know, there was a violent protest outside of our embassy—sparked by this hateful video. But soon after that spontaneous protest began outside of our consulate in Benghazi, we believe that it looks like extremist elements, individuals, joined in that-- in that effort with heavy weapons of the sort that are, unfortunately, readily now available in Libya post-revolution. And that it spun from there into something much, much more violent." "We do not-- we do not have information at present that leads us to conclude that this was premeditated or preplanned. "I think it's clear that there were extremist elements that joined in and escalated the violence. Whether they were al Qaeda affiliates, whether they were Libyan-based extremists or al Qaeda itself I think is one of the things we'll have to determine." (Susan Rice, CBS Face The Nation)

As you can see this is a pretty long quote, but I think that the whole quote is important because for some reason the Obama Administration had Susan Rice go on the Sunday talk shows and spread this story about how the attacks at Benghazi was a protest at first and then it got out of hand and turned into a attack which killed four people. Honestly when I first heard this last year, that story did not make any sense to me because they had Rocket-propelled grenades, hand grenades, assault rifles, and other weapons. I've never heard of a protest where people come and carry those types of weapons, that story did not make any sense to me. Now because of this dumb political move by the Obama Administration now the crazies in the Republican Party can start all of these hearings in the House and drag President Obama through the mud. Now the question I posed at the beginning of this blog why are the Republicans so obsessed with Benghazi?

If you've been paying attention to politics in Washington all of Obama's term as President you already know the Republicans obsession with what happened at Benghazi. Give up? I'll give you the answer, the reason why is the Republicans want to play politics. That's the only reason why they care so much about Benghazi, they don't give a damn about those four Americans that passed away in the line of duty for this country, all they give a damn about is playing politics and to me that's disgusting. That's why earlier I said that the Obama Administration screwed up when they had Susan Rice go on the Sunday talk shows and tell that asinine story. Now the Republicans can claim that the administration tried to cover up what happened at Benghazi and they need to know what else the administration covered up. The Republicans will bring Benghazi over and over again next year during the mid-terms next year, and during the 2016 Presidential Elections especially if Hilary Clinton runs for President as almost everyone expects her to run. If you don't think so then you are not paying attention to politics in Washington.

President Obama needs to watch himself because if the Republicans somehow win control of the
Senate and keep the House, then the Republicans for sure will try and impeach Obama. Don't you think for a second that they won't try. For example in the House the Republicans have tried to repeal The Affordable Health Care act or better known as "Obama care" at least 33 times if I remember correctly, so they don't give up easily. Honestly I wish that the Democrats would be as tough as the Republicans and investigate all of the crimes that the Bush Administration committed, instead we get President Obama saying that I don't look backwards, but I look forward and that's why Bush and his people will never face justice for all of the crimes that they committed. However I personally hope that the Democrats win control of the House next year and we won't have to worry about the Republicans trying to impeach the President and the Democrats are at least sensible and most of them listen to logic.

60 Americans were killed, where was the Republican outrage then?

If the Republicans were really outraged by what happened at Benghazi, then why weren't they just at outraged by all of the Embassy attacks that happened when George W. Bush was President. Look at the picture next to this paragraph, all of these attacks on our embassies and I don't remember the Republican Party investigating any of these attacks that happened under President Bush. As you can see sixty people were killed at all of these Embassy and Consulate attacks under President George W. Bush and the Republicans did not investigate any of these attacks and those unfortunate deaths. However four people die in Benghazi and the Republicans want to start an investigation as quickly as possible. The Republican Party has once again exposed themselves as hypocrites.

Now my final thoughts before I get some conservatives saying that I'm just trying to defend the President, that's not true at all because I think that they were trying to cover it up at first. The reason why I think this is because the Presidential Elections were coming up and the President did not want to have to deal with Mitt Romney and the Republicans using this to try and help their pathetic campaign. However if I was Obama all I would have said is who cut the budget for Embassy security? Oh yeah that's right the Republicans did. It would have been that simple to counter that possible Republican attack. This is another reason why the Republican party is dangerous for America, because they want to use those four people that were killed in Benghazi in order to score political points with their base that hates President Obama and they want to get try and get elected even though it most likely won't work.

Now my final point I hope that the President Obama stands up to the Republicans for once and for all, they have been bulling him around for five years now and all the President has done is try and work with this party and agree with them in order to get the Republicans and the conservatives to like him more. President Obama how has agreeing with the Republicans worked out for you these last five years? I'll tell you all the Republicans have done is stab him in the back and their ultimate goal is to try and impeach the President and to me personally I think that the President set himself up for all of this to happen to him so I don't feel that badly for the President. I know that this blog was long but I had to write this because I'm sick of all Republican hypocrisy went it came to Benghazi.
